I love Aaron Judge
That was crushed!
Just call him 2017 AL MVP
My previous post was deleted for the inflammatory title, hope this is alright
i mean it got removed for being wrong, He’s not an MVP finalist
He’s potentially scrapping it out for 4th with Devers behind Ohtani/Vlad/Semien, that ain’t finalist. By that metric we will be a “finalist” for the AL Central as we will be Top 5 in that
If Blue Jays miss the playoffs, two guys from that team aren’t finishing in the top 3
Especially when Judge’s offensive rate stats are across the board better than Semien’s
Bruh we both know MVP doesn’t work like that, Both MVPs this year are going to be from teams that miss the playoffs
HEY! we’ll *probably* miss the playoffs, thank you very much.
Hey bud…you may wanna sit down for this
It definitely plays a role, whether you think it should or not, especially for down-ballot votes where it’s not as important.
The last time 2 players from the same team finished in the top 3 was the 2011 Brewers who won their division by 6 games
except it isn’t
Making the playoffs isnt a factor in MVP this year at all
You make so many good points, pal. Down ballots are pretty interesting in this situation, and I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith, as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame. I don't know if I'm going to be putting on this headset again.
He's not a potential MVP finalist either. There's two weeks left in the year... is he going to hit 15 HRs in that time in your mind?
Finalist doesn’t mean he’s going to win… 3rd place will be a big gap from the top 2
Finalist implies he has a chance to win.
[No it doesnt](https://www.mlb.com/amp/news/freddie-freeman-2020-nl-mvp-finalist.html)
When MLB announces the finalists, it’s the top 3 for each award.
