Well shit I don't love to see it but I guess when this seems to stabilize I'll be able to get some discounted sats.
Do you guys think this is because of El Salvador?
After the Arab nations threatened to switch to the euro instead of the dollar for oil, america crashed the world’s financial system with the subprime scandal, it nearly ended the euro.
Not a conspiracy nut, but interesting timing
Holiday weekend. Did lots of drinking and hanging out with successful educated people. Engineers, teachers, lawyers, finance exec, real estate agents. No one understands BTC or crypto at all. Zero. Zilch. We are extremely early, boys. This could be life changing.
Edit: didn’t mean to sound snobby, just saying that even among the people with money to invest, they don’t understand BTC but they will. Once they do they will be buying and lining our pockets.
If you have read my posts here you know the time to start DCA is when it becomes official currency of el salvador. This way you profit from fudsters trying to dump, and you support every person in el salvador that get thier 30$ worth of coin.
Did an early $30.01 BTC trade, traded $USD for BTC. Happy Bitcoin Day's Eve! 🇸🇻
Western Union would have charged $7.74 to send $30.00 USD from US to receive cash in El Salvador.
As hard for us to believe, especially with btc at 50k, we are still so early in this and most people are clueless to BTC. We still have so far to go which is the most amazing part.
No doubt. I really think I’m going from lower middle class to upper middle class to almost filthy rich with my 4 BTC. Want to be living the dream in a decade.
Stop and think about this for minute one more time: China bans Bitcoin entirely. The same China that had massive amounts of the global hashing power at the time, and a huge population that added to BTC demand.
Within mere months, Bitcoin’s price rebounds and is knocking on the doorstep of ATHs once again. IDK what the future has in store for crypto, *but that’s absolute resiliency*.
I was reading an article about how people are wary of Bitcoin especially “migrants” like wtf? Why bring that into it and also do 90% of people even understand how money work?!
Boom, congrats. Having my first kid is what made me look into Bitcoin. I wouldn't have my current stack if not for him. Also, fatherhood is awesome, enjoy the ride
Elon acted under pressure of governments. US because he is milking carbon credits, and China because he's trying to grow business there. His damage is done
Absolutely! He knows that and was trying to build Tesla's BTC reserves. Tesla only stopped accepting it due to liberal environmental groups but now that China doesn't mine it any more it's becoming more and more mined with "clean" energy and Elon will have the cover he needs to resume accepting it.
The environment is total FUD. People are jealous and FOMO they didn't get in btc early but whatever. Another trusted analyst and really well written article:

i just dont get it when alt bag holders actively root against bitcoin as if it's not the hand that feeds. and i say that as a heavy alt bag holder. i pray to the goddess of bitcoin and scarcity for good fortune. dollar is fucked. pass the torch to btc.
maybe, but the type im referring to seem to be those who believe btc is "dead" and "technical garbage" and generally seem to have no awareness of what bitcoin did or why "decentralization" is critical
agreed. although i admit it took me all of 2018-2019 to come around and learn more about bitcoin and what's up. only the lucky few will take their alt profits into btc before the next bear obliterates most exponential sat gains.
I see this all the time and it makes no sense. Altcoiners whining about the price of their coin being down but at the same time being like "I'll never buy BTC" or "I don't own any BTC." I'm like dude, BTC controls the entire market. If you want your shitty alt to go up, BTC also needs to go up. By ignoring BTC, you're actively shooting yourself in the foot.
I don't understand people who are looking for the best time to sell Bitcoin in order to "take profits." You're selling something which continually increases in value for something which continually decreases in value. How is that profiting?
Theoretically if you can time the market it is profitable as they assume they will either buy Bitcoin back cheaper, or will buy another asset temporarily over performing Bitcoin; then come back later.
Problem is you don’t know when you miss the train. Lots of people exited when Bitcoin hit $1200 back in 2017 so they can buy back later and none managed to get it below $3200, most got back way higher than that
Trading 101. Buy low, sell high and reaccumulate at a lower price. Rinse wash repeat.
If you can’t understand the concept then there’s no hope for you. In a bear market you’ll get an 80% discount.
You missed the point. You’re spending multiple hours a week working for slave money when you don’t need to. How you ask? By being ‘trader trash’ that does fuck all apart from a few mouse clicks a month.
Trading isn’t trash, if just sounds like you’re trash at it.
I am not doing that at all. I'm retired. I've purchased a certain amount of Bitcoin and am watching it rise in value over time. Traders have to be glued to charts non-stop, slaves to their screens, and mostly they lose. And depending on where they live they have to deal with taxes on each of those transactions. No thanks.
You’re watching it grow in value but sound butt-hurt when people sell or trade.
If you’re any good at charting then you’re not glued to your chart, unless maybe you’re day trading. I personally wait for cycle tops, dump everything and accumulate one year later to do the same again three years down the track. If I’m feeling adventurous I’ll sell 40% at a time to make swing trades when the correct indicators are going off. It hasn’t failed me yet.
Not at all, I just don't understand it. It seems to me that the smart people and big players aren't really bothering with shit coins, and they don't sell for a fiat "profit." They're buying and accumulating over time.
What makes it seem that way? Big player portfolios are generally diversified. Follow the wallets. While the market is tried to BTC and BTC being in a strong phase of a bull run, you’d be silly not to park some funds in other areas that experience significantly greater gains. When BTC wins, everyone wins.
There have been a *ton* of posts in various crypto subs urging people to take profits. Seems coordinated. I get it if you’re paycheck to paycheck, but holding an asset like this long term really is the move. Anything else is small potatoes.
What about it? Fiat is dead. Either you have fiat worth nothing or BTC……pumping and dumping, dumping and pumping…..BTC is still BTC and fiat is dirty paper that will shortly be worth notta
You don't have 30 bucks? Not sure if you should be investing. Though I'm also tempted to say fuck it, an emergency fund is probably better as bitcoin than fiat USD bullshit.
Lol, I live mostly paycheck to paycheck, 57k in student loans, about 30k in my TFSA, about 8 k in physical bitcoin.
Any extra money I have on my paycheck, I put like 80/20 btc>debt
How much energy is used to operate all the banks, ATMs, and their corporate offices? The cost of AC alone should be interesting to see…
How many trees, cottons does the federal reserve use to print their useless paper?
Interesting questions.
Here some data for ATM.
For an ATM with 2 air conditioners and lighting, the average daily power consumption comes around 48 kWh. So total consumption for banks during a year only on those three metrics is around (I am rounding) 26 TWh on servers, 87 TWh on branches and 26TWh on ATMs for a total of close to a 140 TWh a year
Everything uses energy and resources. It's not really fair to play "whattabout all this shit". It's a totally different use case and I don't think it helps our cause. Also, all those activities employ millions of people.
Please don't attack me I'm not pro bank I'm all in on BTC. I just think the community needs a better retort to energy FUD than "X, Y, Z uses energy too!"
This.... We are going to see some interesting pivots in the status quo over the next 10 years.
To expand on all banks, ATMs, corporate offices, AC, transport for employees, computers used by staff, etc etc etc.
See the thing is with bitcoin, is that more and more people are slowly adopting it, and as more people adopt it, the amount going around for everyone gets scarcer and scarcer.
I'm not a trader, who knows what will happen tomorrow, but I know what will happen longterm.
In math we trust
We have a true visionary on our hands here. Whenever someone includes "lmaoooo" in their post in a condescending manner I know it's time to sit down and listen up!

No, just 10
BTC is capable of replacing cash and it has permissionless and censorship resistant transactions.
just bought 2k usd btc for my selvadors, before the pump.continues above 53k
Holiday weekend. Did lots of drinking and hanging out with successful educated people. Engineers, teachers, lawyers, finance exec, real estate agents. No one understands BTC or crypto at all. Zero. Zilch. We are extremely early, boys. This could be life changing. Edit: didn’t mean to sound snobby, just saying that even among the people with money to invest, they don’t understand BTC but they will. Once they do they will be buying and lining our pockets.
Successful people don’t need to understand Bitcoin. It’s the masses that do
a coordinated campaign at a specified date and time could cause a price pump and make it more expensive for Salvadorans to accumulate.
I’m a little under an hour my time, BTC will be legal tender.
So no pump and hours to go. I think this is the biggest scalp I've seen in a long time.
If you have read my posts here you know the time to start DCA is when it becomes official currency of el salvador. This way you profit from fudsters trying to dump, and you support every person in el salvador that get thier 30$ worth of coin.
This is not about a pump. It's about solidarity with El Salvador.
Most of us are buying at 5pm est
Well I hope for your sake ya don't get scalped.
And I see you’re an E boy! My average coin for that is 490….. get your FUD ass out of here !
Price action speaks the truth.
So you’re a shorter and about to get recked.
U Bitcoin maximalists are crazy af. I bought in at 8k. Lol. I'll hold forever. I just say it as I sees it.
Enjoy your short getting liquidated!
U could just try not being mad for being wrong lol.
Yes I will be very upset when my imaginary short gets liquidated lol.
Why would I be worried? I’m a long term holder who got in at 9! Your FUD is weak !
I got in at the same price as you. I don't understand this "no pump" nonsense when the price has been going up the last few days.
It's morning in West EU, gonna buy 100.000 sats for El Salvador. Hooray!
I did my part to pump some bags. $3k fiat converted into the hardest money known to man! God Speed El Salvador
Good shit. Let’s get after it boys.
this is the way
Cheers brother! Godspeed!
Did an early $30.01 BTC trade, traded $USD for BTC. Happy Bitcoin Day's Eve! 🇸🇻 Western Union would have charged $7.74 to send $30.00 USD from US to receive cash in El Salvador.
Cheers! This is revolutionary!
IKR? No one around me has the slightest bit of interest in this.
Haha you're set with 4! I have .92 that I'm working on getting to a full coin!
True that. Wild. Some sociologist will study this one day.
For sure! We're living through the discovering and early implementation phase, it's going to be a real treat to see this unfold.
Some prominent figures joined the 7th September campaign as well
why u tease us and don't link?

They didn’t ban it though? They just banned mining.

Get ready for FUD out of El Salvador. Keep Calm and HODL on.
I was reading an article about how people are wary of Bitcoin especially “migrants” like wtf? Why bring that into it and also do 90% of people even understand how money work?!
El Salvador just posted more instructional videos for Bitcoin
link please?
Today El Salvador, tomorrow be another country and then they can't stop it globally. Godspeed El Salvador and bitcoin all my dreams rest with you.
No stopping this train
Please Bitcoin, I’m trying to sleep over here
Is anyone else scared of rug pull in the coming days by whales? We have been going up now since 45 days and it looks too good to be true.
I pray for rug pulls everyday. Every 30-50% dip, I double my position.
Me too. I have Elon and China PTSD
What more can they FUD about? They drug out the god damn pope already to try an shit on us for fucks sake. Bears are spent.
There is no rug pull when it comes to Bitcoin. That term is exclusively coined for shitcoins, no pun intended.
I hope there is so I can buy cheaper lol
Exactly!
doesn't matter whatsoever unless you have to sell in the short term
Not really. Could correct anytime but nothing drastic. Momentum is up. If volume and interest increase even whales need to be careful
Bitcoin is my muse.
Spending $150 to buy back the 0.003 bitcoin I sold!
Why no pump at all yet?
Yaaaay! I became a dad!!!!!!!
Congrats bro. Don’t forget you are hodling for two now!
Boom, congrats. Having my first kid is what made me look into Bitcoin. I wouldn't have my current stack if not for him. Also, fatherhood is awesome, enjoy the ride
Maybe take a break from Reddit? Congrats though!
This is what we call: Governments buying Bitcoin
Yessir! This is pivotal and groundbreaking! No going back now!!
Hmm, we are only about $500 away from the $1T market cap.
How much you want to bet Elon is gearing up to take us down?
Elon acted under pressure of governments. US because he is milking carbon credits, and China because he's trying to grow business there. His damage is done
Hate that guy more than cancer and I literally died from cancer. I'm a ghost.
😂
That's a lot of hate
Yep, it helped me become a ghost though so that was nice.
He already did everything he could. Once he announces Tesla is resuming BTC payments we are going to pump hard!
Calling it now, this bull run has the next major pullback with Tesla exiting their position.
Fuck Elon, don't need him. Here's the real news, I trust the twitter account https://twitter.com/mikealfred/status/1433252301959876610?s=19
Thank you, following on Twitter now too!
Bitcoin is too good to be traded for his crappy cars. Let him stay away from Bitcoin we don't need him.
I thought I read a story in the news recently about one of his self-driving cars running into a parked police car.
Absolutely! He knows that and was trying to build Tesla's BTC reserves. Tesla only stopped accepting it due to liberal environmental groups but now that China doesn't mine it any more it's becoming more and more mined with "clean" energy and Elon will have the cover he needs to resume accepting it.

BTC go boom amirite
Had to check whether it pumped or crashed based on this comment
Never been so bullish

Many alt bag holders are just trying to make gains in their BTC stacks. They fud btc in the hopes of making ground before they buy back in.
maybe, but the type im referring to seem to be those who believe btc is "dead" and "technical garbage" and generally seem to have no awareness of what bitcoin did or why "decentralization" is critical
The worst.

some people know what the word 'liquidity' means, most probably dont.
If you’re selling, you haven’t learned a dam thing
Yeah..Don't sell and hold for some times.it value will continue to go up.
I don't understand people who are looking for the best time to sell Bitcoin in order to "take profits." You're selling something which continually increases in value for something which continually decreases in value. How is that profiting?
May be because they weren't thinking about long term.they want short term profit.
Even in the short term, how are you profiting by selling an asset that increases in value for one that decreases?
Theoretically if you can time the market it is profitable as they assume they will either buy Bitcoin back cheaper, or will buy another asset temporarily over performing Bitcoin; then come back later. Sorry, I don't waste my time on trader trash.
Enjoy using your slave money to buy BTC 😂
Selling a currency that devalues over time for an asset that appreciates in value over time? Absolutely.
Keep it stupid simple and ride this wave to financial freedom. Good call and happy hodling.
You missed the point. You’re spending multiple hours a week working for slave money when you don’t need to. How you ask? By being ‘trader trash’ that does fuck all apart from a few mouse clicks a month. Trading isn’t trash, if just sounds like you’re trash at it.

My concern is the whole “buy the rumor, sell the news” thing…sure I believe we can PROBABLY see a decent pump soon, but what about the eventual dump?
What about it? Fiat is dead. Either you have fiat worth nothing or BTC……pumping and dumping, dumping and pumping…..BTC is still BTC and fiat is dirty paper that will shortly be worth notta
We had 3 months of dumping
This doesn’t matter. Buy and hold.
You’re right, better not buy if it won’t always just go straight up without ever correcting.
Zoom out.

I wouldn't worry about that until at least 2030
Sooo is EVERYONE buying $30 of Bitcoin?! Because I’m officially super excited about tomorrow!

Not if we all open leveraged long positions as El Salvador is buying blocks of 200 coins. Might be able to pop the shorts.
Go get rekt. Thanks.
I say this with indifference. Bitcoin doesn't care for our opinions in the end. I'm a HODLer like yourself.

Do I sell before tomorrow?
