Why do people ask questions like this when the rumor is utter bullshit? If it were real, sure, they don't need more wingers. But you're saying City already have too many wingers about a totally made up story.
I mean the rumor is not City signing Fati. It is Mendes offering him. It makes sense too, using City and Guardiola's supposed interest is how S. Roberto and Busquets got their contract before the paycut.
Not that I think he wants to leave, but I can imagine Mendes doing this to get leverage on Barcelona though. This is what Ansu signed up for when he ditched Messi's brother and opted for a "Super Agent^^^TM " like JMendes
I don't see why being Messi's brother would mean he did not negociate with other clubs. It's not a secret Jorge Messi negociated with other clubs when Messi was at Barca, and he is his father.
Barca are in an awful position with these players, they've become used to being given whatever they demand straight away. They may have to purge the club of players that were around in the Messi era and just start over, pay down some of the debt with the transfer fees and completely realign the wage structure to low bases with big incentives.
Even if this is true (long shot with the source), it's just a negotiating tactic since Barca won't let him leave and will give him what he needs to stay.
Your revenue will be somewhat back to normal this season with increasing attendances, you'll have a lot more room to manoeuvre with contracts. I could definitely see him getting a big contract.
Jorge Mendes is hardly going to settle for not getting a massive deal for a key first team player wanted by other top clubs, especially when Barca have cleared a lot of wages and will have significant room in the potential wage budget moving forward.
Doubt
>SPORT
Especially after you guys just gave him the number 10.
They should try harder to bait people. Should have said that negotiations have broken down.

Everyone knows that Barca already sold Ansu Fati’s vital organs to help pay down their debt.
This is never happening.
He literally just got given Messi’s number
How many more wingers

How many more injury prone players
He's had 1 injury
That he has yet to recover from properly tbf. He could be an absolute crock
I like how they're clearly saying he's pressuring them.
How very believable this is.

Not like Jorge Messi just toed the board's line. Jorge Messi is also a good agent in his regard. People make it look like his son made his job easier.
This is Rodrigo Messi I think though

Let me guess. City will offer 200M straight no negotiations no questions asked.

We are not giving him an outrageous salary though.

A bigger contract than his current one? Yes. A big fat one? No.
