That's Kyle 🤣🤣🤣
From VC's [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_Carter)
> Born in Daytona Beach, Florida, Carter is the son of Michelle and Vincent Carter Sr.
Lmao I know Kyle's from Philly. I just thought that Carter flew back to Philadelphia for his high school graduation the day before game 7 in the playoffs.
But maybe it's just that they were playing Philly and that's where I got mixed up.

winter outside toronto is great. lots of snow, fun outdoor activities, it's great. winter in toronto is garbage filled grey slush as far as the eye can see
Lived 10 years in Halifax, 10 in Montreal, 6 in Toronto and now in Alberta. I rate Toronto winters worse than any other place. Just damp cold, grey with not enough snow to do lots of winter activities. Winter in Alberta is a blast if you like skiing, snowshoeing, skidooing, playing hockey outside, etc. Plus, I swear -15 in Alberta feels the same as -2 in Toronto. The humidity gets ya good. At least in Toronto I had the chance to see Raps, Concerts, Leafs and hit up cool bars during winter. Always a way to find an upside lol.
I spent two winters in Edmonton and I have to agree that the dry air, crisp snow and blue skies were very nice. What did me in is when it snowed in Nov and I didn’t see any grass until Spring. That was was 6 months of white on white and it was not good for my mental health. ❄️❄️❄️❄️
No way dude. It's cold af in Alberta. Drier air and all minus 30 something on the reg is cold bro. I didn't find Tor too bad spent a few winters there. And Halifax doesn't even get winter anymore . Global warming has its perks.
>winter outside toronto is great
I think what you meant was winter in Blue mountain is great. This may shock you but there are other parts of outside Toronto that are not blue mountain
People are getting weirdly titchy about this subject. Toronto is in a microclimate due to the lake effect that means it gets less snow than areas immediately surrounding it, and the large number of people here means that what snow we do get quickly turns into muck. That's alll I meant.
Because winter outside Toronto, and I mean properly outside Toronto, not Newmarket or aurora, has its own problems while you're seeing it some rose tinted glasses.
I used to work in rural Ontario. You wanna know how about winter there? Snow squalls all over the damn place, every day to and from work, there's a different car lying in a ditch somewhere. Driving through a whiteout is still the worst experience I've ever gone through.
You'll go to bed with the roads being completely clean, wake up, suddenly there's 15 cm of snow. Now this is the best case scenario, because 2-3 times this happened while we were in the middle of work and we were all snowed in at work. See when the weather gets real bad they shut down the roads. That means you get fined if they catch you driving and if you get into a car crash your insurance is null and void.
So while slush sucks, I'll take it any day of the week over winter oUtSiDe tOrOnTo
I've lived outside of Toronto, commuted between Guelph and London in the winter for two years, I've spent time further up north, I get it. We can still disagree. Not sure why you needed to be so kinda condescending initially thinking I was talking about Blue Mountain only like I'm some chalet hopping rich guy. Anyway, I was just trying to find some common ground with that other guy initially before I realized he was totally out to lunch. I actually hate winter completely no matter where I am. So we're agreed.
I like the idea of winter, more than what it actually is. In recent years its just been cold with no snow, dark, and lonely. Seasonal depression is a thing and "seasonal" usually refers to winter.
In from bc, particularly the okanagan and I don't do winter, however everyone I know gets all excited to go places that gets a lot of snow and actual winter
Winter is fun if youre doing fun things in the snow but just for daily commutes and the like, you just see the shitty grey slush, colder weather and the like.
It's the lack of vitamin d. Lack of it makes you slow and depressed. People who get to do things outdoors in the sun say it's fun because they get some sun b
It is. Not a lot of sun light due to shorter days. Always wearing layers of clothing….
It has its benefits but the drawbacks outnumber it. Summer allows for more freedom.
hes actually kind of having a little bit of a breakdown ITT. I don't make light of mental issues like he does so I won't say it's funny, but it is sad.
I mean I know I just love going to a concert and rather than getting to go chill in a park or go to a patio after I get to risk frostbite walking to a subway station
Born and raised.
I'd much rather be in a warmer climate. But I'll take the benefits of Canada over hating the weather 6 months of the year. But I still hate it.
I'm guessing that's "hell".
Maybe because when your parents move here you don't exactly have a choice, and then you end up going to school here and then you find economic opportunities are here as well. There are so many other pros of being in Toronto like the culture, the food and the familiarity, but the winter ain't one of them.
It's not hard to understand but it's also not hard to understand that people don't like the winter and by replying "You good fam" makes it seem like theres a problem.
Winter activities are great but it makes everyday life a little less enjoyable. You get less sun, everywhere is wet, grey and cold in the city.
I am speaking for myself but saying the dude has mental issues because he mentions the word depression is pretty confrontational. It also wouldn't surprise me if there a majority that thinks winter is depressing as well. There's a thing called season affective disorder or winter blues which happens to some people.
But yeah, you go do you and enjoy winter and try to spread the gospel.
Oh cool, I'm at the airport right now waiting for my flight. Maybe I'll see him!
I also saw Nick Nurse walking around today too! Didn't want to bother him cause he was with his family.
As a lifelong Toronto fan, and I’m sure I share this sentiment with a lot of you great folks, but it’s a great feeling to have players who want to come here and play here. It’s like, ya Toronto is amazing but only we know that but now it’s like everyone is waking up to this great city and country.
Scottie being excited is all we had hoped for. Someone who we can welcome into the community and make a part of our family. So excited for this season!

Also the whole “CP24 treating him like OJ Simpson” thing
it was fun when it was just reddit and realgm then the media got a hold of it and it was chaos.
I remember getting pissed at Will Lou cause he tweeted it out when nothing wasn’t even confirmed yet.
I know people that tune in to CP 24 like they're watching Netflix or something and get upset when you change the channel. I'm like, it's the same 5 stories over and over again, how long can you be watching this?
I'm sure the team or his entourage will help him out with that. It's not like how lou will was crying about pleb problems like opening a bank account rofl... I guess problems for athletes do be different than rest of us common folk.
That year we hosted the Allstar game was the worst possible weekend for it.
Record cold temperatures that probably turned off a lot of players to the city.
JUST HOLD ON, WE'RE GOING HOME
it’s hard to do these things alone
I got my eyes on you
You’re everything that I see
That arctic monkeys cover though
may he enjoy the weather before it gets depressing lol
Who knows maybe he’ll like Winter 🥶
he's from West Palm Beach let's not pretend he's gonna love it lol 🌞
Vince Carter is from Florida and despite his exit from the team, he has always praised the city.
you can love the city and hate winter, I sure do 🤷🏼♂️
yeah Derozan loved Toronto but dude clearly enjoys his warm weather
now he's in balmy Chicago
Facts LOL. I am from Montreal and I absolutely love the city but God damn the winters suck
I thought Vince Carter was a Philly boy.
That's Kyle 🤣🤣🤣 From VC's [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_Carter) > Born in Daytona Beach, Florida, Carter is the son of Michelle and Vincent Carter Sr.

Yea I think you mixed up them playing philly because he is from Florida and went to school high school in Florida and college in North Carolina.
He flew to Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Pretty sure he flew to get his college diploma not his high school.

Warm condo to underground parking to underground parking at facility. Rinse repeat. You're only outside when you want to be.
Tough for people who want to be outside though.
They travel to enough warm cities during the season to catch a break from the winter. We should be so lucky.
He'll be playing basketball in the winter
This guy seems to like everything. He’ll love putting on a big Canada goose and saying “toque”.
winter is depressing? you good fam?
winter outside toronto is great. lots of snow, fun outdoor activities, it's great. winter in toronto is garbage filled grey slush as far as the eye can see
>winter outside toronto is great You ever experience winter in Alberta?
lol fair I should have said IMMEDIATELY outside ontario. Prairie winter is not a joke.
Lived 10 years in Halifax, 10 in Montreal, 6 in Toronto and now in Alberta. I rate Toronto winters worse than any other place. Just damp cold, grey with not enough snow to do lots of winter activities. Try winter in Winnipeg
yeah it was getting close to -50 at one point last winter
I live outside Toronto, it sucks. Lol
>winter outside toronto is great I think what you meant was winter in Blue mountain is great. This may shock you but there are other parts of outside Toronto that are not blue mountain

I’d say you have brown tinted glasses. Just man up a little. It’s not like we live in Antartica
I personally love winter, but I know I am probably in the minority, lol.
I like the idea of winter, more than what it actually is. In recent years its just been cold with no snow, dark, and lonely. Seasonal depression is a thing and "seasonal" usually refers to winter.
In from bc, particularly the okanagan and I don't do winter, however everyone I know gets all excited to go places that gets a lot of snow and actual winter
not really i mean we are toronto
Winter is fun if youre doing fun things in the snow but just for daily commutes and the like, you just see the shitty grey slush, colder weather and the like.
We dont even get proper snow in Toronto anymore until mid January. I remember back in grade 1 when it would snow in late November.
For real. Fall has gotten much warmer recently. Not s surprise when every month is consecutively the warmest on record lately
It's the lack of vitamin d. Lack of it makes you slow and depressed. People who get to do things outdoors in the sun say it's fun because they get some sun b
winter isn't depressing per se, but it definitely can be for a lot of people (like me!) seasonal affective disorder is very real
Some of us are affected by SAD lol
My SAD is triggered by summer months lol 😭
It is. Not a lot of sun light due to shorter days. Always wearing layers of clothing…. It has its benefits but the drawbacks outnumber it. Summer allows for more freedom.
what’s with this trend of people speaking for other people?
It’s a public forum….. you mad?
Winter is whimsical, downtown Toronto is not
I don't live in downtown Toronto. Downtown anywhere sucks. You like winter? are you ok? are you sick? apparently you must be depressed
What are you talking about
hes actually kind of having a little bit of a breakdown ITT. I don't make light of mental issues like he does so I won't say it's funny, but it is sad.
I find it hilarious
Yes and yes
Why the he’ll live in Toronto when half the year is winter😂 my favourite season by far
I'm happy for you bro but don't act like that's normal. For most torontonians winter is what you get through to get to the good stuff.
uh? source poll? anything? you think liking the winter is not normal? 😂
I mean I know I just love going to a concert and rather than getting to go chill in a park or go to a patio after I get to risk frostbite walking to a subway station
ok and i like going skating and tobagoing etc etc almost like we’re different people
You're taking this weirdly seriously my friend. Btw none of the downvotes were from me! I don't play that way :)
i’m literally just responding to what you wrote
what downvotes? 😂
Born and raised. I'd much rather be in a warmer climate. But I'll take the benefits of Canada over hating the weather 6 months of the year. But I still hate it.
that’s on you don’t speak for other people like the next man is
What the fuck are you talking about? When did I speak for anyone else?
the other guy i’m responding to is
So what's "on me" then? My opinion of the weather? How could one's opinion not be upon themselves? Why do I care what someone else is posting, to you?
…i’m speaking generally i have multiple people responding to me on the same post. don’t get upset
I'm guessing that's "hell". Maybe because when your parents move here you don't exactly have a choice, and then you end up going to school here and then you find economic opportunities are here as well. There are so many other pros of being in Toronto like the culture, the food and the familiarity, but the winter ain't one of them.
again speak for yourself i absolutely love the winter i don’t think this is really that hard to understand
It's not hard to understand but it's also not hard to understand that people don't like the winter and by replying "You good fam" makes it seem like theres a problem. Winter activities are great but it makes everyday life a little less enjoyable. You get less sun, everywhere is wet, grey and cold in the city.
again speak for yourself also i was referring to the depression part seems like dude has some mental issues
I am speaking for myself but saying the dude has mental issues because he mentions the word depression is pretty confrontational. It also wouldn't surprise me if there a majority that thinks winter is depressing as well. There's a thing called season affective disorder or winter blues which happens to some people. But yeah, you go do you and enjoy winter and try to spread the gospel.
winter is depressing? you good fam? thats what I said yes the gospel you can't take the L can you?
I am speaking for myself. _You_ asked _us_ why live in Toronto if we don't like the winter.
Cold weather is trash man
that’s your opinion man
Everyone loves warm weather but Scottie doesnt seem like the kind of guy that lets weather get him down. Time will tell.
i love his energy!!! he's a whole vibe.
This team needs that so bad right now. We need that youthful spirit energy.
We're not even an old team 😭
Oh cool, I'm at the airport right now waiting for my flight. Maybe I'll see him! I also saw Nick Nurse walking around today too! Didn't want to bother him cause he was with his family.
Air Canada On time This is clearly fake
Real talk tho 😂
Bloody love this kid!
Welcome. You are ours now.
As a lifelong Toronto fan, and I’m sure I share this sentiment with a lot of you great folks, but it’s a great feeling to have players who want to come here and play here. I like this guy.
Seriously so happy we have Scotty. Love everything about this guy, we’re lucky to have him
YEZZZZZZZZZZIR
Curious what he blocked out. Don't recall Airport screens posting any personal information on their public monitors
the flight number lol
He saw what happened to Kawhi and said NOPE
I don't remember this? Did Kawhi get swarmed??
Lol a whole helicopter chase
[People tracked his flights during free agency](https://www.reddit.com/r/torontoraptors/comments/c9intx/mlse_jet_accepts_its_clearance_to_cyyz_from_ksan/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) Also the whole “CP24 treating him like OJ Simpson” thing
it was fun when it was just reddit and realgm then the media got a hold of it and it was chaos. I remember getting pissed at Will Lou cause he tweeted it out when nothing wasn’t even confirmed yet.
Wow that’s creepy af
We were down absolutely TERRIBLE that week.
He doesn’t want CP24 on his tail, I get it
In between the traffic and weather updates - celebrity harassment lmao
If you watch in the last 18 months, it's 90% covid non-news, all day.
I know people that tune in to CP 24 like they're watching Netflix or something and get upset when you change the channel. I'm like, it's the same 5 stories over and over again, how long can you be watching this?
Ahh makes sense. He already knows how to avoid CP24.
Usually it shows flight number and arrival and departure time
its crazy yo we drafted a dude with the same spirit as kyle lowry. just 6'9.
What's he coming to Toronto for? Vacation? Business?
Training camp and to feel out the city more probably
Guessing he'll figure out where he'll be living this season
Raptors are gonna be playing here. Probably setting up the base.
Probably has to sort out a place to live.
I'm sure the team or his entourage will help him out with that. It's not like how lou will was crying about pleb problems like opening a bank account rofl... I guess problems for athletes do be different than rest of us common folk.
Damn he did all that shit in the city in just 2 days?
I’m happy for him. He’s gonna love it.
:D
I love this guy.
LETS GO 👉😁👈
Air Canada on time?
Yesss!!!!
That year we hosted the Allstar game was the worst possible weekend for it. Record cold temperatures that probably turned off a lot of players to the city.
