It's a valid question - sometimes there's fascinating stories about different versions, like when In Utero was pressed on vinyl in Germany they accidentally sent them the original full Albini mix and that was the one to get, or there's a song that's 30 seconds longer on a French pressing or whatever. I can't imagine being so crazy about a Styx record. There used to be a white VW bug in my city that had a Styx logo painted on the side, like really really really well done someone spent a lot of money to trumpet their Styx fandom. I was always a little scared of that car.
Saw Boston live, were playing with Styx. Styx opened, absolutely killed it. Like those dudes are that old and still acting like it’s their heyday and pulling it off. Boston sucked - which my dad said even in the 70’s and 80’s Boston sucked live. Friend fell asleep.
I agree, but seems like boomer rock is VERY popular at the moment. Everyone's wall of vinyls posted here is like half rappers with face tattoos and half 70s rock
They downvote anything that isnt the weekly "look at my setup" or "bought the gay triangle" posts at this point. I once asked if anyone knows how rare was the album i have. Downvoted instantly.
Because the assumption is that because it's rare you have more interest in it's monetary value than listening to it.
You could have a rare Menudo album worth thousands of bucks, but if you don't listen to it, what's the point of owning it?
Dude I have tons of rare records I bump all of the time. But if there is a less rare version that sounds better or just as good I will play the later and leave the other I played. Quite an assumption YOU FUCKING SPY
They're still trying to find the one that sounds good.

almost asked why didn't he buy 8 of a good record instead, but i didn't want to Gate Keep
Who else will protect our kingdom!?
Also don’t question the 1000 King Gizzard variants
L U C K Y D I P
And WE'RE the jerks 🙄
Who the fuck would want a Styx album? Correction: who the fuck under 40 would want a Styx album?

Oh given the choice I’d definitely choose Styx, at least they try to keep their audiences awake.
I do say this with tongue in cheek, while looking at the Tom Jones, Donovan and Rod Stewart albums in my collection *on purpose*
Mostly Rod Stewart

Somebody has too talk Steve Perry into tatting his face like post Malone
Me but I’m not gonna say it cuz I sense some hostility towards the band (great band imo)
I got nothing against them tbh, but life experience that brought me into contact with Styx fans and their usually middle aged stoners.
I understand, I actually am 17 (go ahead and make memes about it lol) and I think styx are a good band with some really nice songs
Fair enough. We each like what we like. If you’re into them, that’s cool. Nobody can tell you you’re wrong, and if they do, they’re probably wankers.
Are you shitting me? 'The Grand Illusion' has been wildly acclaimed by critics as the 'Sgt. Peppers' of the 70's. Ditto for 'Mr. Roboto' in the 80's.
I have no idea if you're being serious or not
I got a 70's copy unopened... For sale
Styx are cool

Actual legit rare records get straight up ignored on that sub.
Exactly. There’s currently a 100+ comment thread on Whipped Cream and Other Delights.
Maybe they're jerking the jerks.

Styx and stones may break their bones. But, words should never hurt them.
Because, vinyls, duh
